Nature Kin
Nature Kin is a collaborative card game that puts you in charge of an open space as you and your friends race to find a home for 28 different plants, animals, and insects native to Southern California. Each set of Nature Kin comes with 100 cards: 28 Nature Kin cards of unique species, 28 Open Space/Developed Space cards that make up the board, and then Energy cards you need to collect to play each Nature Kin.
You and your friends will oversee a local ecosystem. The goal of the game is to find a home for all 28 Nature Kin. But act fast! Open space is getting developed, taking away precious habitat from these incredible, diverse creatures.
Can you save them all in time?

I created the game with the help of my two young daughters , who adore the abundant nature we have in San Diego County: one of the top ten biodiversity hotspots in the country. It is now used in educational settings across San Diego, thanks to a grant from the Rising Foundation that enabled free distribution for 2,000 sets, and through the campaign we raised funds for Project Wildlife, which rehabilitates injured wild animals in Ramona, California.
