Nature Kin
Ecological card game (creator)
100 cards: 28 Nature Kin cards of unique species, 28 Open Space/Developed Space cards, 44 Energy cards cards
Nature Kin is a collaborative card game that puts you in charge of an open space as you and your friends race to find a home for 28 different native plants, animals, and insects. The game puts you and your friends on the same team, and along the way, you learn about what makes each species so special and their relationships to one another.
I created the game with the help of my two young daughters , who adore the abundant nature we have in San Diego County: one of the top ten biodiversity hotspots in the country. The game has been used in classrooms and outdoor education settings around San Diego County, and through it we raised money for Project Wildlife, a wildlife rehabilitation program that gives injured, orphaned, and sick wild animals a second chance at life.

Into the Impossible
Podcast
Co-HOSTED, PRODUCED, AND EDITED FOR THE ARTHUR C. CLARKE CENTER FOR HUMAN IMAGINATION AT UC SAN DIEGO
A podcast on how we imagine, and how what we imagine shapes what we do, in the spirit of Arthur C. Clarke's law that the only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
